Privacy
Privacy Policy.
How Eikon collects, uses and protects the information you share with us, in plain language.
Who we are
Eikon Brand Strategists Limited (“Eikon”, “we”, “us”) is a brand strategy firm based in Abuja, Nigeria. We decide how and why the personal information described here is used, so we are responsible for it.
You can reach us about anything in this policy at [email protected] or on +234 916 101 2111.
What we collect
- Details you choose to send us: your name, email address, phone number, organisation, the engagement you are interested in and your message.
- Your Authority Scorecard answers, only if you ask us for your report.
- The content of emails, calls and WhatsApp messages you send us, and our replies.
- Choices this site remembers on your own device, such as sound, motion and your privacy setting. These stay in your browser and are not sent to us.
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not follow you across other websites.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange a conversation.
- To prepare proposals and deliver work you ask us for.
- To send the Eikon Journal, if you subscribe. You can stop at any time.
- To keep proper business, tax and legal records.
Our lawful basis
We handle personal information in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. Depending on the situation, we rely on your consent, on steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract, on our legitimate interest in running and improving our business, or on a legal obligation.
How our forms work
When you submit a form, your details are sent to our server. In this test preview, submissions are saved in a private test log instead of being emailed. If the form service is unavailable, the page can open your email app with the message prepared; you choose whether to send it.
The Authority Scorecard is worked out in your browser. Your answers are not sent anywhere unless you ask us for your report.
Who we share it with
- Service providers who help us run email, file storage and our website, under contracts that require them to protect it.
- Professional advisers, such as lawyers and accountants, where needed.
- Authorities, when the law requires us to.
We never sell your personal information. If you choose to chat with us on WhatsApp, that conversation is also subject to WhatsApp’s own privacy policy. This site loads two animation libraries from cdnjs.cloudflare.com, which receives your IP address in order to deliver them.
Transfers outside Nigeria
Some of our service providers store information outside Nigeria. When that happens, we rely on the safeguards the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 allows, so your information keeps the same level of protection.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for up to 24 months after our last contact, unless we go on to work together. Client and financial records are kept for as long as the law requires. After that, we delete or anonymise them.
Your rights
- To ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- To have it corrected, or deleted where there is no reason for us to keep it.
- To object to, or ask us to limit, how we use it.
- To receive it in a format you can take elsewhere.
- To withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what we did before.
Write to [email protected] and we will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Keeping it safe
We use sensible technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, and we limit access to the people who need it to do their work.
Children
Our services are for organisations and professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date below. Significant changes will be highlighted here.
